Description

Symbol of Tuscan Joviality and hospitality, this wine is obtained mainly from Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes, with a small percentage of Canaiolo rosa and San Colombano. The grapes are picked at the end of September and are dried on special framework until the end of January. Then the dried grapes are pressed and the juice is put into small kegs made of chestnut trees, with a capacity which varies from 30 to 100 liters. The wine has to age for at least three years. Then a natural decantation follows after a year the wine is bottled. It has the smell of dried fruit and caramel. This Vin Santo is the ideal wine to drink with cakes and biscuits.
